PRESTIGE JOINERY LTD is privileged to have been selected to craft the kitchen, entertainment units and fireplace to the Governor General’s private apartment.

In 2010 we worked closely with the client and Athfield Architects to create a wonderful piece of bespoke craftsmanship complementing the grandeur of Government House. We were also called upon to manufacture feature woodwork to match the original fittings such as the Ballroom panelling, fireplaces, column panels and archways.

In 2011 we were invited to create a feature embroidered screen for the departing Governor General, Sir Anand Satyanand and his wife, Lady Susan, as a gift to Government House and the people of New Zealand. We are proud to have been associated with the renovation of Government House and its ongoing history.
